No kitchen remodeling job is too small or too difficult for Dedicated Tile. Here, we replaced 325 square feet of linoleum on the kitchen floor, and blended in custom-tiled, sage granite countertops and backsplash. |

In a kitchen remodel, cabinets can be replaced, as in the example above, or refaced, if that is better suited to your budget - perhaps freeing up some extra funds for granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances, as in the example to the right. | ||
Our customers are free to drive their custom kitchen remodel in any direction. In this project, existing appliances were retained, and the cabinets were painted to match. Maple cabinet doors and drawers were added for warmth and contrast, along with a marble countertop, and diagonal wall tiles. You can be as creative as you want, or choose a more conservative style. |
When tile is laid correctly, it will lay flush with any existing, adjoining floor surface. When the tile and adjoining flooring are not flush (on the same level), it presents an unnecessary tripping hazard, in addition to creating a potential eye sore.
A home that I
worked in recently
had such a problem. Literally 12 feet from the top of their hickory-hardwood entry stairs was a tile and hard wood abutment in the hall bathroom that needed a specially made transition to correct the problem. |
There will be times when the room that is being tiled is not completely square. In fact, this is very common. As a tile professional, I can arrange the tile to compensate for this and minimize the irregular appearance of the space.
I also pre-lay the tile to minimize small cuts so that your floors, countertops, backsplashes, and showers flow with full tiles.

Sometimes our customers’ budgets drive the need for a modular bathroom remodel, where the toilet, sink and vanity are remodeled first, and then the shower is remodeled at a later time. In other situations, just the shower is in need of remodeling. In any case, we work to your preferences and needs.

The goal with grouting is to grout the tile with minimal grout and sharp lines. It is also imperative to wash the excess grout off of the tile right after you grout, so that there isn’t a thin layer of grout on your new tile, or chunks that need to be chipped off once they have hardened. Besides grouting the tile, it is important, as an extra measure for waterproofing, to apply similarly-colored caulk to areas that may be leave the wall exposed to water damage. This is yet another extra layer of security that Dedicated Tile offers you. To finish off edges of a tiled shower, you will usually need some type of trim tile, such as a bull nose tile. The shower that we are looking at in this video will need a bull nose tile all around the edges of the 12 x 12 tiles to give it a finished, professional look. |
